Hello everyone! I’m Jay and I would love to be your next iPRAS President.
As this year’s Microsurgery Conference Chair, I developed key leadership skills and gained deep insights into iPRAS' operations, preparing me for the more executive role of President.
Highlights from Microsurgery:
- Gained BAPRAS accreditation with 7 CME points.
- Implemented two innovative chicken thigh workshops.
- Secured the highest number of microscopes in conference history.
- Achieved a 96% delegate satisfaction rate.
My Goals as President:
- Provide a 101 guide on organising conferences, using my first-hand experience to support future leaders.
- Introduce additional seminars focused on portfolio building, research involvement and the training pathway.
- Expand our focus on aesthetic plastic surgery through more dedicated events, recognising this vital but underrepresented specialty area.
- Launch an annual spreadsheet and poll to gather committee members' ideas for new events
- Increase collaborations with other societies, both within and outside of Imperial.
- Enhance committee interaction with socials to foster a more engaging atmosphere.
I am dedicated to not only maintaining but also building upon the legacy of iPRAS. Let's work together to push the boundaries of what we can achieve as a society!
Recommendation from Current President, Ameen Mahmood:
I fully endorse Jay for the position of next year's president. Jay has cultivated valuable connections this year, which will undoubtedly benefit our society. His profound insight into the workings of iPRAS and his ability to leverage his network align perfectly with our mission. I am confident that Jay's leadership will propel iPRAS to new heights.
