Gabrielle Boyer
Having never won a single game, I consider myself a good candidate to be women 2s captain next year. I am an experienced player when it comes to dodgeball playing, training and loosing. With the women’s 2, I have lost in every possible way there is to loose: getting absolutely battered with a 20 points set difference, getting a close one set difference loss, loosing to sudden death and even a draw. I’ve got good loosing experience, so don’t worry, I’ve got all the coping mechanisms I need to deal emotionally with the women 2s performances next year. People might criticise my lack of faith and optimism, but see it that way: I will never be disappointed by the women 2s performance. Showing up with more than four players will already a win for me. I can't promise women 2s will win every game next year, but I can promise good vibes will always be here. My objectives for next are:
- That no one beats Emma’s A&E attendance record
- Increase Belushi’s attendance
- Full team fluency in French by the end of the year (probably more achievable than winning a game)
I won’t put down winning a game as one of my objectives as it isn’t really one inherently. I want dodgeball to be fun sport without putting too much pressure in my shoulders or the shoulders of the women playing in the 2s, but I will do my best to develop and support this team of lovely people.
