Hi, I am Allegra, and I am running to be your Departmental Wellbeing Representative for Chemistry.
As the current Year 2 Wellbeing Rep, I have dedicated myself to being accessible and am always open for a chat. This has ensured that everyone feels comfortable reaching out with any concerns or suggestions.
Why wellbeing matters:
University brings many challenges: adjusting to a new life away from home, having to balance social life and study, stresses regarding work and money. It's easy to forget to look after ourselves in the whirlwind of university life. However, I believe that by prioritising our metal and physical health, we can thrive both personally and academically.
My Experience:
During my time as Year 2 Wellbeing Rep, I have:
- Made myself accessible to all students, fostering an environment of open communication and trust.
- Promoted positive affirmations and a supportive atmosphere during coffee drop-ins.
- Actively listened to and addressed your concerns, ensuring your voices are heard and your needs met.
If elected as your Departmental Wellbeing Rep, I will continue to enhance important communication between the upper and lower years strengthening the bridge to create a supportive community.
My mission will be to help us all prioritise our wellbeing so that we can make the most of our university experience. If given the opportunity to be your Wellbeing Rep, I am confident that we can build on the support already available to ensure EVERYONE has access to the help they need.
