Hey guys, I am Madhav Rajeswar, and I am running for the position of Malayali Society Vice President this year! Being a typical gelf mallu (yes I know how to say "As-salamu alaykum" and "Wa alaykumu s-salam" like 'gafoor ka dost'), I know a thing or two about bringing mallu vibes to a foreign environment.

By taking an active part in the subcommittee this year, I've learnt how the society welcomes people from all backgrounds into a comfortable, fun environment. I have helped the committee organize some events and also indepedently planned and run the subcommittee games night, gaining vital experience in event planning and learning the key to making our events enjoyable and exciting for all.

Having gained this perspective, as VP, I aim to grow this society much further by running a lot more collaborative events with mallu societies across London, through which we can bring you more diverse, bigger events, and a larger audience to enjoy them with! I also plan on getting our subcommittee to focus more on outreach and communication, by which we can make sure that everyone knows the events we run, and that everyone who attends fully feels at home, mallu or not.

Above all, as VP, I'll make sure that you all appreciate the smaller things in malayali culture as much as the big celebrations, and have a cracking year ahead!
