Hello, I’m Alicia, a second year Earth Science student.
As someone who has been secretary in multiple societies since high school, I believe I have the organisational, communication and leadership skills to be secretary.
With being ABACUS secretary as my most recent role, I have experience working on large scale events and the admin work related such as excel sheets, newsletters, emails and handling group chats. I’m confident that I can manage the workload required for a society as large as CEC.
As an Earth Science student, I’d also love to be a part of a society which strives to promote impactful change on Earth and am very passionate about sustainability and would love to learn more about entrepreneurship. I also hope to meet many other members with a shared interest about climate and foster a creative and welcoming community for people next year!
I hope that my role as secretary will allow me to disseminate information about the latest climate tech news and developments in industry to continue nurturing change. I (hopefully) look forward to driving change by supporting our sustainability startups and making an impact with CEC!
