Swim and Waterpolo: Women’s Competitive Swimming Captain

Hi, I’m Fran and I would love to be your Women’s Competitive Swim captain next year and help continue the growing success of this club. I have been committed to ICSWP for three years now, which has given me an insight into what this role involves, and I am excited to have the chance to lead this team. I was swim captain at my last club, and I believe this will allow to fulfil this role to the best of my abilities.

Each year I have competed at BUCS, our team has gotten stronger and stronger, in particular the girls’ team where we were so close to making the finals this year! As captain, I want to continue the work previous captains have done and I believe next year we will see a lot more Imperial swimmers in BUCS finals! I am hoping to organise some land training sessions next year too, to help everyone,rom competitive to non-competitive, improve their strength in the pool both in training and racing.

I will also aim to make swimming even more social and help everyone feel welcome in the club (whether in the pool or in slug :) ). BUSL galas have been one of my favourite events of this swimming year and I will encourage more and more swimmers to participate and get involved in racing!
