Hello everyone,

I'm Nefiya, a second-year biochemistry student and I am excited to be running for the position of Immunology BMB academic officer role for our society because I have a passion for Immunology that I want to share with you all!

Immunology is a rapidly evolving field that has many applications in health and medicine, also a very relevant and timely topic, given the current global challenges and opportunities related to infectious diseases, vaccines, and immunotherapy.

However, I know that Immunology is not a focused module in some of our curriculum, and many of us may not have the opportunity to explore it in depth. That is why I want to organise a series of tutorials on various topics of Immunology, featuring speakers who are world experts in their field. These tutorials will help us to expand our knowledge and increase our fascination for the topic.

I am a driven person with excellent communication skills, and I am always eager to learn new things. I have experience in organising and leading academic activities, such as tutoring, mentoring, and research projects. I have the enthusiasm and the vision to be a great immunology BMB academic officer.
