Dear ICSM Badminton members, my name is Marco and I am excited to be running for your education officer. Being the social secretary for ICSM badminton last year I enjoed every single part of being in the committee and prioritising our members in the forefront of everything I do. I wish through my visions below I will be able to make ICSM badminton a more fun, inclusive and diverse society. Below are 3 Cs I would be offering to the society
- Continuity of care - From POM to PACES, as medical students we are faced with lots of academic stress and as your education officer I wish to support you along the way from signposting you to the right people and making sure you have a good work life balance whilst keeping on top of your work.
- Commitment - Why Marco? Having aced my first year exams getting a distinction star, I believe I am able to help all the incoming freshers with advice and tips on how to pass and progress whilst having time to enjoy all the socials ICSM badminton have to offer. (I will also help educate freshers on the intricacy of badminton too!)
- Communication - currently, there has not been much academic focus in ICSM badminton and I hope to integrate some academic socials, webinar and revision sessions for our members to allow seamless integration of working hard and playing hard.
