Miranda Jiang

Hello everyone! I’m Miranda, a second year medical student, and I would love to be your secretary in the coming year!

When I first joined Sexpression in Year 1, what stuck out most to me was the inclusive and supportive community that Sexpression has fostered. Sexpression’s mission is one close to my heart, and I have found every volunteering and teaching experience to be invaluable, and hope that I have been able to contribute to delivering comprehensive Relationship, Sex and Health Education for our partner schools. I loved working with other volunteers and other members of committee throughout the years, and I look forward to future teaching and social events with Sexpression.

I want to be more involved with committee work as your secretary, and am committed to working hard and staying organised, to help the society run as smoothly as possible. My previous experience as the training lead of Sexpression helped me better understand the needs of the society and our volunteers, and how I can contribute to making the volunteering experience engaging and fun for everyone. My volunteering experience with the society also gives me insight into what support I would like from the society when volunteering, and I will continue to create a safe and educational environment for all our members, as your secretary.
