Mustafaa Khan

Hello! I'm Mustafaa and I'm a 2nd year medic who is passionate to take the role of Infectious Diseases chair. I aim to propel the society to new heights next year,

My experience:

• Last year I held 6 different committee roles giving me great ability to time manage and coordinate with teams.
• As publicity officer of ID_Soc I have promoted our events especially the conference with immunology. I have also showcased my commitment to the society.
• I have played vital roles in the running of 5 different conferences
• As SORA national commence lead I have liaised with other universities in London to run a succesful event

As ID soc chair I hope to grow our connections across London and with other societies. I also want to introduce a number of new events. I'm confident in my devotion and ability to motivate and co-ordinate a committee/ subcommittee to see my vision to reality.

My plan as chair includes:

• Conduct in-person education sessions focused on exam questions and group learning.
• Establish a journal club for younger years, followed by campaigns on relevant ID issues to engage all members, including freshers.
• Tailor talks for BMB students with a BMB subcommittee.
• Sustain the momentum of our conferences, talks, and collaborations with other societies from previous years.
