Sheena Ling

Hi guys! I’m Sheena and I’m a first year bioengineer, and I’ll be running for this year’s digital officer position on the committee.

This basketball society has been one of the best parts of my year so far- everything ranging from regular trainings to going to Paris has been such an amazing experience. Through the society I’ve gotten to know lots of great people and met some of my closest friends. I truly believe that it has one of the most supportive and bonded atmospheres here at Imperial, so I've been very lucky to have been involved in basketball so early on and I hope to continue to be more integrated within the society.

The role of digital officer interested me as it seemed like a way to not only express my love for photography, but also as a chance to show more sides of the society and get more people included. Previously, I have led publicity and design teams for charity projects and have confidence in my ability to handle the digital responsibilities effectively. As someone who enjoys media, getting everyone involved, as well as being active on digital platforms, I believe that I would be a good fit for the role.

I'm very grateful to be part of basketball and will cherish the memories I've made so far and I hope to make some more with you all next year!
