Anushka Prakash

Hello! I’m Anushka and I’m a third year medic.

Having been on paeds committee for a year, I’ve loved every part of it and would love to be part of it again!

Paediatrics is a field I’m greatly interested in which is why I would like to run for conference chair. I worked closely with the conference chair for the 2024 conference, so gained a lot of experience into the different aspects that go into organising a conference, and also have lots of ideas to put forward into this years conference from what I learned.

Being sponsorship officer, I got numerous sponsors for the conference, and look forward to maintaining a relationship between paeds and these companies in future years. I also got in contact with many doctors through these companies, which would be ideal when choosing speakers for next years conference.

In addition to this, I have experience as events officer for HSOC, so have planned many large scale events including inter-uni events, and have a good idea into what goes into the organisation for this. I have also been the imperial representative of student medaid, which is an inter-university platform based on global health, so have experience in delegation, as well as the coordination of widespread teams, and the challenges that come with this.
