Hi everyone! My name is Ingrid, and I am a third-year civil engineering student. I would love to be your next Events Manager! I appreciate the opportunities that WiB has introduced to me through their events, and I would love to take the initiative to contribute to WiB!

As Events Manager, I promise to do the following:

• Organise more professional events, such as guest speaker talks, workshops, office visits, and networking events with companies and alumni, to support members exploring different career paths, both in-person and virtually.
• Host more fun social events, like dinners and bar nights, etc.!
• Foster an inclusive environment by tailoring events according to feedback and suggestions from WiB members, ensuring that all events are friendly, fun, and engaging!
• Collaborate with different organizers and possibly other societies to widen the scope of social events offered!

Why me?

• I have been involved with the union for the past two years in multiple roles, including Events Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary of different societies, so I am very familiar with the union and the procedures for ensuring everything runs efficiently!
• I am detail-oriented and will ensure that all deadlines are met on time.
• I will make sure that WiB is enjoyable for everyone!
