Hi everyone, I'm Joanna a Medical Biosciences with Management student and I'm excited to announce my candidacy for the position of Secretary at ICWIB. I'm passionate about pursuing a career in consultancy, and I'm eager to connect with fellow like-minded girls through this incredible society. For me, ICWIB represents an uplifting community where we can all support and inspire each other. I aim to ensure that every member feels welcomed and empowered within the ICWIB community, regardless of their career aspirations.
As an Outreach Officer for the Entrepreneurs Society this year, I honed my ability to ensure everyone remains informed and engaged. My internship at a London-based Biotech ecosystem also equipped me with expertise in organizing events and coordinating attendees, guaranteeing smooth logistics and clear communication.
As a secretary, I'm determined to:
- Build a Strong Team: I will facilitate open and timely communication between all Committee members, taking meeting minutes, as well as fostering a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone's voice is heard.
- Keep You Informed: I will actively manage the Society email and make sure inquiries reach the right person for a prompt and appropriate response.
- Let members' voices be heard: I'm passionate about ensuring everyone's needs are met. I will actively seek feedback from our members to continuously improve the Society's offerings and ensure it stays relevant and engaging for everyone.
