Archita Gupta

Hi everyone! We’re Arushi and Archita, and we’re both thrilled to be running for the position of Artistic Dance Director.

Dance is our passion! We were co-choreographers for EMW ‘Malhaar’ this year and got to experience first-hand how dance brings us together, and builds our confidence. It was fulfilling to witness incredible improvement in our dancers while we created unforgettable memories. Our biggest takeaway from choreographing Malhaar is that regardless of previous dance experience, anybody can dance!
We’re both trained dancers and choreographers:

• Arushi has been learning the classic dance Odissi for 10+ years, has been a part of many grand showcases and choreographed several fusion dances for cultural assemblies in school
• Archita has been learning the classical dance Kathak for 10+ years and has worked with various experts to showcase the art
  As your Dance ADs, our mission is to democratise dance. We plan to host workshops catering to all skill levels, ensuring dance is accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We aim to build a community that fosters confidence through dance. Additionally, we're excited to organise showcases at cultural events and contribute towards replicating the EMW experience in the coming years, encouraging more people to participate and strive for perfection!

Having worked together previously, we’ve learnt that we complement each other well and bring different strengths to the role. We are both hardworking, can manage our time effectively and will give our best to the role!
