Yuki Agarwala

Hello, I am a current medic and graduate of BSc Medical Biosciences, and am running to be a core committee member for Immunology Soc this year! Immunology is incredibly difficult and complex, but having undertaken research projects in immunology, I am incredibly fascinated by the area. I will be teaching on the BSc Medical Biosciences course as part of the immunology society tutorials this year. Based on my experiences in both Medical Biosciences and Medicine, I aim to increase engagement with immunology society through the following:

• Currently, the society runs a conference centered around infectious diseases, but I believe immunology is very versatile. I would like to run a conference with speakers from a variety of fields demonstrating how they apply immunology in their daily practice
• Support the organization and publicity of immunology tutorials for both medical and biomedical science students
• Invite PhD students to give talks on the different PhD schemes and advice on pursuing a PhD in immunology
• Organize workshops on how to read and critique research papers in immunology
• Invite speakers from both the UK and abroad to speak regarding latest advances in immunology

I would love to organize these events and bring immunology closer to all of us this year. Please vote Yuki for core committee member :)
