Dear Investment Society Members,
I’m Dmitriy, a second year Chemistry student and I am running for Secretary. I may be known to some of you through my participation in QT Capital pitches as an Analyst for the Consumer Staples Equity Team, during which I found great joy in establishing a clear communication channel with my team to gain insights on investments that would strengthen the fund.
My passion for this position stems from understanding the importance of strong organization and swift event coordination within our society. Producing a top 5 out of 87 ranked pitch deck as an Analyst for AmplifyMe, by fostering a collaborative environment within my team, and also coordinating 30+ visitors during Newlands lecture series, have prepared me well to serve you as the Secretary of the society.
Furthermore, as a Spring Insight Week offer holder for Corporate Finance at Deutsche Bank, I believe I am in a great position to use my network to open up new possibilities for our society.
In this role, I aim to help members and the overall society by:
- Reimagining the newsletter to feature a "Market Snapshot" section with contributions from members analyzing recent financial news, and an "Alumni Spotlight" to share insights from past members now in the industry.
- Digitizing all our records and minutes using cloud storage solutions ensuring they are easily accessible to all members.
- Implementing a Slack or Discord server, creating channels for different interests, event planning, and general discussions.
