Audrey Fung
Hi everyone! My name is Audrey, a second-year chemistry student running for the industrial liaison position this year! Having been to WSET events, I appreciate the opportunities I have encountered to develop networking skills and gain industrial experiences from this society. I have built strong relations with alumnus and specialists working in industrial, finance and tech fields, in which I believe are important to my career development and to bring me a step closer to figuring out my goals for the future. Hence, I would love take initiatives to contribute to WSET!
As industrial liaison, my key aims are to:
- Seek opportunities for collaborations with other societies and wider community to achieve common goals.
- Invite industry experts to assist those who want further support in application processes for internships or grad roles such as educational courses and CV / group workshops.
- Organise panels, office visits, and networking events with various companies of different discipline to allow WSET members to explore different career paths.
- Create mentorship opportunities to give individually-catered advice and insights.
More importantly, I would love to foster a welcoming and inclusive community of like-minded individuals. I am committed to provide the resources and opportunities the members of this society need to reach their full potential. Thank you and I am counting on your vote!
