After helping to run events for the previous year, I feel like I now have the necessary knowledge and confidence to not only run the events, but to improve upon them giving all members of the society a better experience as a whole. Recent experiences with our events this year have given me a list of improvements and advancements I would like to make to the society. These include:

• Redesigned voting systems for competitions
• Regular social events throughout term to fill gaps between events
• Events in external venues
• More small-scale events like jazz jams and acoustic nights

I also intend to work on creating a better communication between the members of the society and the commitee, to find out exactly what people want/enjoy from events and anything new they would like the society to try.
