Charles Calzia

I'm a first year CS student passionate about software development, coding side projects and tech startups. As someone who has been building a side project (CortadoMail, a productivity software) alongside the CS course, I've learnt a huge amount through that and would love to encourage and enable more computing students to work on their own side projects.

To do this, I'd love to:

• Create an internal directory of people within DocSoc working on side projects (to allow people to meet and potentially collaborate with others working on similar projects)
• Support more students on their own side projects through small grants and connecting them with mentors
• Collaborate with other societies to allow students to apply their computing skills to other areas

Alongside this, I'd love to work with the rest of the committee to continue making IC Hack better every year (and maybe it'll soon become the biggest student run hackathon in the world), find great sponsors and put on some fun events.
