Hi there! I'm Mustafaa, and I'm thrilled to run for the Year 5 Coordinator position. Here's why I'm the right choice:

My Experience:

  • MedEd Webmaster: Ensured comprehensive availability of Year 5 content and collaborated closely with previous year 5 coordinators and specialty leads.
  • As a Committee Membe I contributed to the successful execution of Year 5 and Year 6 PACES.
  • Lecturer: Delivered engaging sessions for MedED BRS crash course and PassPOM.
  • Last year I held 5 committee roles: PO for pharmacology and ID, respiratory secretary, Nutritank events officer, and SORA national conference lead.

Year 5 Coordinator Initiatives: While my main focus is to maintain the hgih standard of MedEd content in previous years, I have a number of initiatives I will implement.

  1. Enhancing PACES Preparation:

    • Introduction session for PACES.
    • Facilitating peer learning groups, especially for those with limited practice opportunities.

  2. Smooth Transition to Year 5:

    • Launching an introduction session to help students settle back into clinical placements after a year of Bsc and only a short break.

  3. Empowering Early Engagement

    • Launching first part of specialties series earlier enabling the choice of engaging with recordings upon reaching relevant rotations.
