Hi All! My name is Duru, a second-year biochemistry student. I spent my first year enjoying the WSET, and second year part-taking in its committee as the FELIX Correspondent.
This year, I would love to be back on this great society, helping to bring you guys more and better events/services! I have a background as a social events officer, secretary, and treasurer of various societies, so I am equipped in the needs of this big society. I am also
As the secretary, I will:
- Create more lines of communication between our sponsors and members
- Collaborate with other similar interested societies to bring you different sides of WSET. As a past-committee member, I know the need and love for representation of women in areas other than finance, and as the secretary, I will ensure that we include a diverse range of connections and events.
- Extend beyond finance or consulting by aiming for wide-range of sponsor companies and communicating collaborations and events within or outside the society. I am aware of the immense lack of support and representation in engineering-focused industries for women. In fact, women are underrepresented in almost every sector of "SET", not just finance, and I will try my best to close the gap between all the affected sectors.

- Assist the society in every way possible to deliver only the best for you all, as we have done so far.
