Hello Everyone!
My name is Anoushka and I would love to be your next Secretary for Surgical Society!
Having been part of the subcomittee this year I have enjoyed SurgSoc immensely, assisting with numerous events such as the Colorectal Masterclass, Junior Anatomy Series and Trauma Conference. I developed an understanding for the organisational aspects of SurgSoc by working to increase promotion of JAS events on WhatsApp and Instagram, and implementing a JAS Linktree so that all meeting links and groupchats are easily accessible.
I pride myself in my administrative skills working as Project Manager at the research firm IntelXSys, which would be beneficial as Secretary. I chaired weekly team meetings, supervised our timeline and assigned tasks on our work management platform, and oversaw our monthly Sprints by creating dependencies and calculating our time costs.
My other experience includes Publicity Officer for GPSoc where I refined my skills in Canva and Social Media, leading to the acquisition of funding for the society. In first year I was Treasurer and Hall Representative of Beit Hall, where I acquired skills in finance by budgeting for hall activities. I organised multiple events including the Annual Beit Boat Party and Christmas Party.
I am a Student Ambassador of VRiMS, a Medical and Surgical Education VR company. I hope to introduce VR into SurgSoc workshops to interest students to health technology.
