I would love to be your 1s captain next year! The hockey club and 1s team have been such an important part of my university life and I want to give back as much as I can. Captain feels like the next natural step for me and in this role I can lead the team and continue our successful run of the past few years. I also want to be involved in making this transitional period within the club as smooth as possible.

This year I have thrived as social sec and it’s a role I’ve genuinely really enjoyed. This has taken alot of organisation and dedication to run socials every week and ensure the entire club is loving our socials. This has definately prepared me well for the busy role of 1s captain and I feel like I will be able to manage the team well.

As 1s captain I would aim to focus on the more high-intensity training sessions and continue this into next season. I would also like to have more integration between the teams and I’m hoping this would also encourage more people to come to training and help bridge the gap. I would also love to organise more team socials even if it’s just before/ after matches.

With the combined experience of Khumo, Sneh and Eve on the team who have all been amazing 1s captains behind me, I’m looking forward to another amazing season and captaincy with ICSMLHC!!
