Hi everyone, I’m Hyejeong!!

As an art enthusiast and former Art Captain, I am excited to apply for the position of Development Secretary for the Art Club. Art, for me, is not just a form of expression but a special way to de-stress and initiate conversations about emotions and what is a better way to show our expressions than through our art exhibitions.

I aim to integrate our learning experiences into the art exhibition theme to infuse enjoyment and creativity into the subjects we study. From DNA strands to organic chemistry equations, our learning journey at Imperial can be turned into art. However, I will always be open to new ideas.

Having previously served as the Art Captain, I have hands-on experience from climbing onto ladders to hang artwork, using a hammer to hit nails onto the walls, and collecting and keeping large amounts of artwork in different mediums. Organising the art exhibition, showed me how art brings people together, while appreciating beautiful work. I am eager to bring my passion, organizational skills, and love for the arts to the role of Development Secretary, ensuring that our exhibitions continue to be impactful and memorable.
