Attention members!
It is time to vote in your rightful social sec and I'm going to tell you why that is me. Yes I am a fresher, which I would argue makes me far better for the role than any pensioner (sorry pres) too atrophied to organize socials. I vow to my fellow members that I will throw so many socials that you will be begging me to seek a therapist. I might've emphasised a lot of wild nights but a potential board games night could also be in the cards ;). A slight blunder that I noticed this year was the lack of embrace for the freshers; beyond the peaks double meat junction there are far too few intiation-like events that must be fixed immediately (within reason). I propose that spoons after Westway Wednesdays and cake baking should be far better organized in terms of timings, communications and consistency as many members have informed me of their complaints. In general I will introduce more events that are beyond just climbing as at the end of the day noone has enough skin.
However, climbing must come first. Costume climbing? Partner climbing? Tree climbing in hyde park? Urban climbing Royal Albert Hall? ok last one might've been much .. or was it? The possibilities are endless and I'm stacked with ideas and as an incoming second year with a "chiller" workload I will be able to come through for you.
