Hello! I am Isaac Law, and I am running for Events Officer.

I strongly believe in the power that events bring to Singsoc. To me, Singsoc represents warmth and comfort, where I can proudly confide my worries after a long day at school. Before orientation, I was lost and worried about the challenges ahead, but being there with other like-minded individuals made me realize that we are not alone. I strive to create the same environment that I once experienced for my juniors.

I aim to achieve this with two core values:

Firstly, I am very adaptable. I have a malleable perspective and can work with many different types of people. My strength also lies in reacting to different situations and coming up with appropriate solutions to adapt to it. Having worked in the student council, especially during COVID, has helped me acquire this skill of planning events during unforeseen circumstances. I hope to utilize these skills in my role as an EO.

Secondly, I am willing to give back to the community. As a future doctor, helping those around me is something that is fortunately innate in me. I love people, and it is personally what drives me to always take the extra step, whether it's being part of ME cast, or even applying for ExCo. Giving back to the people and being with them to achieve success is what drives me to run for EO, and why I believe I can be a great candidate for this role.
