In our extremely diverse society, every voice holds weight and each member brings their unique flair. Thus, as a candidate for the Secretary role, I want to create an environment where everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered to make their mark.

What are my goals?

• Establish open communication between students and the committee, to hear all your ideas, feedback, and concerns regarding all things DoCSoc.

• Create space for more inclusive events to celebrate each other’s differences and diverse backgrounds.

• Collaborating with academic events officers to organise more technical workshops or career-building events – to help students explore the vast field of computing.

• Establish clear procedures for handling sponsor and committee communications, ensuring prompt responses and efficient coordination.

My relevant experience:

• Drawing from my experience as the President of my high school's Student Council, I possess strong event management, organization, and leadership skills, which I can utilise to facilitate seamless event coordination and foster effective communication.

• Serving as the leader of the debate club, I organized weekly meetings, facilitated discussions, and managed team activities, showcasing my ability to coordinate group dynamics and promote effective communication among members.
