Urvi Jatia

Hi, my name is Urvi and I am a first-year BSc Economics, Finance and Data Science student, running for treasurer of the Art Club. I have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions organized by the Art Club and have had the opportunity to meet many friendly people through them. I found the sessions relaxing and interesting, providing an escape from my usual university work. I am keen to give back to this society as a Treasurer.

I believe I will be a good fit for this role because of my experience in making financial statements in accounting. I have learnt how finances can be organised and kept track of systematically through financial accounting courses. I am also a mathematically inclined and generally organised person. These skills would allow me to efficiently allocate resources to ensure full use of our funds and ensure that our budgeting is done in a secure and responsible manner. I am also always keen to explore more types and forms of art as I have enjoyed doing so since young. I hope my participation in the committee will not only give back to the society but also allow me to learn more about areas within art.
