Emiri Hosokawa

Hello!

I’m Emiri, and I am a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student.

I’ve enjoyed various events organised by MechSoc and would love to join the committee and be involved with events from the finance side of things!

If elected for Vice Chair Finance, I will work diligently to optimise financial spendings to minimise unnecessary expenses and will ensure that the budgets are transparent and accessible to students. In addition, I will actively seek student inputs regarding our financial decisions by providing students with opportunities to give feedback and ideas. I would also collaborate with other committee members to ensure events run smoothly.

I have experience of being a treasurer for a student volunteering club, in which I, along with other co-student leads, helped secure $2000 grant and raised $1000 in a donation project. I would love to leverage this experience to budget for MechSoc so that we can have many fun events!
