Bharath Sivakumar

Hey everyone!

My name is Bharath, and I’m excited to be running for treasurer in the Finance Society.

When I first joined, I was not very aware of the financial industry, but now my insight into the different financial careers is much greater after joining the different events and listening to members. This is why I am eager to give back and help other students who are just starting so that they meet their goals.

As treasurer, I will:

• Create a clear budget plan that allows the society to meet its goals
• Work with the committee to host more career talks and networking events for our members
• Help organise more casual events so that we can all get to know each other better
• Reach out to potential sponsors so that we can host more activities
• Take in feedback from you so that we can continue to improve the quality of events provided.

Being part of the events subcommittee in ChemEngSoc helped me build the budgeting and organisational skills that will be necessary as a treasurer, from finding the appropriate venue to ensuring there is sufficient food and drinks whilst meeting the budget.
