Snowsports: President

Hello snow lovers. My name is Solly, and I am running to be Imperial Snowsports President.

After what I would say was a very successful and moderately organised year for snowsports, I am excited to bring everything I’ve learned as Treasurer into a position as President.

This year, the committee and I brought a lot to ICSC, including increasing the trip capacity from 300 to 400 people, facilitating and subsidising beginner lessons on real snow and organising and running a very successful weekend away in Scotland.

My main aims as president for next year will be as follows:

Grown the trip capacity even more… we’re basically at 500 already 💅.
Increase the capacity and frequency of beginner lessons to ensure our club helps to make snowsports accessible to beginners.
Grow our race and freestyle teams and make ICSC a presence at BUCS, Kings, AJAM etc.
Be an active committee member, involving myself in all aspects of the club.
Make the club more organised behind the scenes so everyone's life is easier.

I’m always happy to bore you with anything mildly snowsports-related, so if you want to know why mittens are better than gloves or hear why Atomic Bent Chetlers are no longer the best skis you can buy, just pop me a line.
