Victor Kojey-Merle
Bonjour! I am Victor, the current MathSoc secretary and I am looking for a promotionš.
As MathSoc secretary, I not only know the ins and outs of how the committee functions and all the roles within, but I know what needs to be done so that the committee runs effectively. I haven’t been sacked from my role (yet), so I must be doing something right!
Other experience:
Last year I was both the chair and treasurer at Beit Hall: I know the best ways to support the other positions and how to aid the moral and wellbeing of both MathSoc and students (free food doesn’t make up for a lack of support, but it definitely helps!).
In addition, having contributed over 27% of all WhatsApp messages last year, I am always happy to help others and can deal with a wide variety of issues both mathematical, logistical or emotional. As a Hall Senior, I know how to help with schedules/organising events/sorting information effectively.
I have literal HOURS of experience writing emails to professors, so they already know me and I can leverage these relationships to improve student satisfaction.
My goals as MathSoc President are:
- to actually have a Christmas dinner this year!
- ā to listen to the student voice and run the events that YOU want.
- ā to work extremely hard, something which I have honed through the thousands of hours and suffering this course has put me through.
