I’m Zoe and I’m running to be your President this academic year.
Having worked as Vice President, I have gained a lot of experience in how to manage, organise and get things done. Working closely with the core committee this year, I have learned what is needed in maintaining and running a society, and I believe that I have the ability and the motivation to serve as the president for next year's committee. My commitment to making the transition from STEM to finance smoother is unwavering. I understand the unique challenges of this journey and am dedicated to providing the necessary resources and support for every member. I am an incoming spring week intern with KPMG, Scotiabank and Piper Sandler and hope to provide members with the relevant skills to also achieve this.
As your future President of Finance, I am committed to:
- Developing a mentorship program that will match students with alumni
- More collaborations with Investment Soc, VC & PE Society
- Hosting workshops, networking events, and talks with industry professionals to provide members with valuable insights and connections.
- Offering guidance on how to leverage STEM degrees for a successful career in finance, bridging the gap between different fields.
- Promoting mental well-being by providing stress management resources and encouraging a balanced lifestyle.
I'm excited to serve as your President, dedicated to creating a more supportive environment for everyone. We will make the transition from STEM to finance smoother and provide the necessary resources for personal and professional growth.
