Since Smayan and I took over the Finance Society in January this year, the Finance Society has brought in more external speakers in a month than it has in the past year. Having both converted our Spring Insight weeks into Summer Internships at Citi and Barclays, our experience gives us the opportunity to reach out to high-level seniors from the most well known companies in Finance.
So far, we have had an event with:
- Jananan Nathan, ex-Director from Perella Weinberg Partners
- Darshana Ramji, Managing Director from UBS
And we have three more upcoming events coming up this month with Managing Directors from Citigroup including:
- Manoelle Lefevre, Head of UK Financial Institutions Group
- Thomas Singlehurst, Head of European Media Equity Research
- William Stanton, Head of UK Commercial Banking
Back in 2016, the Finance Society used to sponsor a heavily subsidised week long trip including flights, 5 star accommodation, meals and a helicopter tour every year:

These trips were designed to give a selection of members the opportunity to meet some of the top employers in the country, but also to provide plenty of time for them to explore a new city. It sounds too good to be true, so we have attached the promotion links used below.
