Hey there! My name's Adi Behura and I'm really excited to be running for the Welfare Vice Chair for Campaigns at ICSMU. I believe I'd be suited for this role because I'm a friendly and outgoing person and so I'm all about listening to what people have to say and I love to hear feedback and suggestions. To me, making sure everyone's voice is heard is really important, as I think that welfare can be shared with everyone and contributed to by everyone as well!
I have some experience in welfare too – I've been a welfare rep for our cohort, so I've already worked with both students and faculty to make things better for everyone. I've even helped out the current Welfare Vice Chair as a welfare officer too, so I understand a lot about the role already which makes me prepared and even more excited to pursue it!
One thing I'm really keen on is expanding on the collaborations we've already had with other societies, for example - Movember with Medic's Rugby (peak the stache...). What I hope to be able to do is reach out to even more clubs and teams to get their input and ideas. Together, we can make sure everyone has access to the info and support they need to thrive.
All in all, I'd love the oppurtunity to make a positive difference to ICSM and I think I've got the energy, experience, and ideas to do that. Thanks for considering me for the role!
