Anisa Price

Hi, my name is Anisa. I am a 2nd Year Geology student and would love to be your Departmental Wellbeing Representative for 2024-2025.

I have been my year's Wellbeing Representative for the past two years and would like to use this experience to take the natural step from Year Representative to Departmental Representative. I believe that my familiarity with analysing survey results; contributing to departmental meetings; and acting as a bridge between student's concerns and various staff within the department makes me the best candidate for the role :).

If I were to be voted into the role I would like to use it as an opportunity to tackle the following matters within ESE:

• Improving the divide between incoming and current international and home students. This can be done through events and continuing current support networks such as the college mums and dads scheme.
• Improving communication between faculty and students to ensure that students are regularly made aware of the various avenues of support available to them.
• Continuing to build safe spaces for LGBTQ+ students through outreach events.

I truly hope to uphold the environment within ESE which allows us to feel comfortable sharing our issues without feeling any negativity and, in turn, receive any required support.
