Hey guys! My name is Yiling (like Ealing), a second year aeronautical engineering student and I’m running to become your CGCU Sponsorship Officer. With the experience of bargaining and negotiating with faculty members to procure extensions and extra tutorials as an academic rep, I’m thrilled to apply my negotiation and persuasion skills in the interests of the CGCU. My natural friendliness, wittiness to quickly whip up cogent arguments, and my fireball of enthusiasm can guarantee us generous sponsorship and support from companies and organisations. My roles as Student Council Executive Officer at high school, involving the planning and execution of the largest events at school such as charity runs, movie nights and music festivals, has bestowed upon me strong organisation skills and continuous commitment to take initiatives which I’ll employ to organise exciting and inclusive sponsor events with the CGCU Activities team.

I’m keen to disseminate the excellence of Imperial Engineers to companies to enrich our experiences and enable more possibilities. In our best interests, I plan to:

• Ensure all sponsorship programs are known by the entire student body of the Faculty of Engineering
• Organise regular networking events for students to connect with sponsors
• Be in persistent communication with potential sponsors that can offer us significant and continuous endowments to foster our research and events
