I’m Yuanze, your International officer this year. I’m re-running for this position. This year, I have worked hard with Union team to advocate for international related welfare issues, including lobbying to introduce free English course for non-native speakers, taking active actions to support students impacted by geopolitical conflicts and campaigning against the international tuition increases.
If re-elected, I will:
- Campaign and firmly say “NO” to the ugly new Imperial Logo;
- Keep representing you and raising your voices during Union and College decision-making ;
- Keep campaigning to against the international tuition fee increase and work with Union team to support the international students who are in financial difficulties.
- Advocate for welfare issues and work with Imperial International Team to provide international students with strong support for visa application, and cultural engagement.
- Keep working hard with Union to finally implement the free English language course for nonnative speakers;
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment at Imperial and work with Union to organize cultural events to promote the campus diversity and inclusion
- Work with the College mental health services to support the international students who are in depression and anxiety due to cultural and language barriers.
