RCSU: Treasurer

RCSU Manifesto

Hi everyone! My name is Ison, and I am a third-year chemistry student. I am running for RCSU treasurer since I believe I can be a strong candidate for this position. Having served as the Treasurer to Chemistry and Bridge, I am well-versed in the responsibilities of managing finances within the union, currently overseeing £40,000 total. Now, I am eager to extend my commitment and contribute further to our community by taking on the role of Treasurer for the RCSU.

My aims as RCSU treasurer are to:

  • Transparency, efficiency, and inclusivity in all my and the RCSU’s actions
  • Expand the current event pool in both size and number (so tickets don’t sell out in seconds).
  • Maintaining our current event’s excellent affordability
  • Ensure events cater to non-drinkers and dietary requirements.

Furthermore, I have a plethora of experience across the economy with work including:

  • The organisation of the Chemsoc Christmas dinner with expense of £20,000.
  • The sale of £4,200 worth of Chemsoc merchandise.
  • The running of an NHS run Covid-19 testing site.

All in all, my aims are to retain the community we have now and enhance our current events lineup to make it more accessible to our growing student community.

And I hope that you vote for me in this upcoming election.
