Prabhas Vedagiri
Hi there! If we haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Prabhas, I am a second-year student and am counting on your support to represent you as departmental academic rep next year. I am confident, outgoing and will always greet you with a smile :) .
As a former academic representative, I am always on the lookout to enhance our student lives. Having discussed and collected feedback from many students, some of the numerous things I wish to do as your dep. rep. next year include:
- Fighting for greater transparency in exam feedback and moderation, as well as pushing for the release of individual exam scripts
- Taking measures to improve the working environment in labs, addressing overcrowding, heating problems and poor air quality
- Providing regular updates on Student-Staff Committee meetings and engaging with students and academic reps so you can become more directly involved in decision making
Through my experiences as academic rep and sponsor liaison for DoCSoc, I am not only a confident speaker capable of putting forward ideas, but I have also gained a strong sense of initiative. I am running for this position because I know that fighting for these changes can truly improve the learning experience of all Imperial computing students. But I am also aware I cannot do this alone. I will not just be counting on your votes, but also on your feedback and engagement to surveys. Together, we can drive meaningful change in the department.
