My interest in surgical research has grown through investigating BRCA variants in breast cancer and exploring AI in pneumonia detection. These experiences have shown me how research can transform patient care and inspired me to explore its role in surgery.

As Research Representative, I want to make surgical research more accessible, particularly for students unsure where to begin. I hope to share opportunities, connect students with researchers, and showcase student-led projects. Having navigated research myself, I want to help others find their footing, pursue their curiosity, and discover their own place in surgical academia.
