Alexander Grob

Hey everyone, my name is Alex (some people call me Grob).

For those who don't know me, I'll be joining the Devils while studying my Masters. I've had the pleasure of getting to know many of you already and looking forward to meeting the rest of the club properly as the season kicks off.

You're probably thinking it's strange for a newcomer to be running, but I would be a good fit for this role. I was in charge of kit and merchandise at the Metros for two seasons, where I overhauled how we ordered and tracked kit, and I plan to do the same for the Devils.

Alongside streamlining the number selection process, I'll run several jersey and merch orders throughout the season rather than once a year. This gives everyone more flexibility: experienced players won't spend half the season waiting for jerseys, and new members can spread their costs out.

As I'll be an alum myself next season, I'll make it my mission to bring back the Alumni Jerseys. I'll also look into getting cheap training jerseys and run some "fun" orders, including a QS 2 jersey for anyone who wants one and a post season Summer Dimmy jersey (which I created).

If elected, I'll build on the hard work Conor has done securing new jerseys and off-ice teamwear this season, and bring the experience from my five seasons to set the role up properly, then hand it over in good shape to whoever takes it on next.
