Yveline Liu
Hii!!
I'm Yveline, from Paris, France. I'm a second-year Chemical Engineering student, and I'm running for Chief Ideation Officer.
I’ve been a member of EWB since last year, and I enjoy being part of it. It brings together students from various courses, offers the chance to work on interdisciplinary projects, and lets members meet people from different backgrounds and build connections.
I’ve always enjoyed challenging my mind and coming up with new ideas. I've taken part in several competitions and hackathons, where I worked in diverse teams and learned how to turn rough ideas into solutions. These experiences also taught me to adapt to unexpected situations and find solutions that the team can agree on.
As Chief Ideation Officer, I’d like to keep our current projects and collaborations with other societies, such as TEDx, while bringing in new ones. That means developing project ideas and partnering with more companies, so more members can get involved in real projects. It also means finding engaging topics for events, talks, and competitions throughout the year, such as an idea-pitching night, career advice sessions with engineers, or design challenges. To make sure ideas come from everyone, I’d collect suggestions through brainstorming sessions or open feedback forms.
My goal is to give every member, whatever their course or experience, the opportunity to take part and share their ideas. So please feel free to reach out with your thoughts!
Thank you for reading, I hope I can earn your trust as your new Chief Ideation Officer!
