Rosch Corea
Hi there my names Rosch. I'm a second year Medicine student.
Psychiatry is the specialty I keep coming back to. Reading Jeffrey Lieberman's Shrinks showed me how far the field has come and how much is still unresolved. My own diagnoses of ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia have also made me want to understand the mind from both sides. I want PsychSoc's events to give other students that same mix of curiosity and real-world insight.
As Secretary of Sri Lankan Society last year, I handled the behind-the-scenes work that makes events happen: room bookings, meeting minutes, liaising with sponsors, and keeping a committee coordinated. As VP Events I'd bring that same reliability to a varied programme. That would include talks from psychiatrists across subspecialties, careers evenings, and relaxed socials where people can ask questions they wouldn't ask in a lecture. I'd also make sure every event is well organised, well attended and worth turning up to.
