Rosch Corea
Hi there, my name is Rosch and I'm a 2nd year Medical student.
Living with ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia has shaped how I learn. It has also shown me that teaching works best when it's clear, structured and accessible to everyone in the room. As Education Officer, I'd build PsychSoc's teaching around that idea.
I'd run sessions on:
- difficult areas of the Year 1 curriculum
- revision strategies and exam technique
- building on concepts of Psychiatry covered in lectures
I'd also expand collaborations with other societies, because psychiatry overlaps with so much: neurology, paediatrics, GP and more. My time as Secretary of Sri Lankan Society gave me the organisational skills to deliver this: booking rooms, coordinating with other societes and keeping plans on track. My growing interest in neurodevelopmental conditions and intellectual disability is an area I'd love to bring into our teaching too.
