Clear feedback. Visible follow-up.

I’m Muhammed Suhail, an MSc Cardiovascular and Respiratory Healthcare student and Commonwealth Master’s Scholar 2026. I’m standing for Faculty of Medicine Postgraduate Taught Officer to help students across our programmes raise academic concerns and understand what happens to their feedback.

Listen across programmes

If elected, I will work with Department Representatives to gather views from taught postgraduate students across programmes and campuses. I will check recurring themes and bring concerns to the relevant faculty discussions, including voices that are less often heard.

Raise practical academic priorities

I will take shared concerns about programme quality, assessment guidance, workload and feedback to the appropriate staff and committees. I will distinguish shared faculty concerns from matters that need a programme-specific response. I will seek clearer communication and workable improvements, recognising that changes to teaching or assessment require staff agreement.

Make follow-up visible

I will maintain an action record and share brief updates after relevant meetings, showing what was raised, the response and the next step. I will work with the PGT Representation Chair when issues need attention beyond the faculty.

Improve routes to information

I will raise barriers to finding postgraduate careers information and student support with the responsible teams, and help representatives share existing opportunities through approved channels. Personal concerns will be handled with care and appropriate signposting.
