Bioengineering (UG): Year Four Wellbeing Representative

Hi there ! I am Maria!

I would like to be Wellbeing Rep because university should be about more than just academics: everyone deserves to feel supported and part of a community. As someone who has experienced wellbeing challenges while at Imperial, wellbeing at uni has become important to me. I would love to give back and meaningfully improve student experience. I care about your wellbeing and care to make a difference (I'm on your side).

I will be very sympathetic to your concerns and will act promptly to ensure your issue is accommodated as much as possible.

Here are three key priorities:

1. Listen, Represent, Act

  • Create an open and approachable space for students to share their concerns, suggestions and experiences.

  • Bring student feedback to departmental meetings and push for practical improvements.

  • Keep students informed about the issues raised/progress made.

2. Promote Wellbeing

  • Raise awareness of the mental health, physical health and financial support available to students.

  • Help students access the right university services when they need support.

3. Strengthen Community

  • Promote wellbeing campaigns, social events and initiatives that help students connect and support eachother.

My commitment: I will listen without judgement, represent your concerns responsibly, and work to turn your feedback into action. I may not have every answer, but I will always do my best to help you find the right support.

Your wellbeing matters. Your voice deserves to be heard. Let's make our university experience better, together.
