Pranav Sharma
Hey everyone! I’m Pranav, your current EIE wellbeing rep! Last year, we started creating a sense of community with our midterm socials.
Genuine connection and participation in our communities have been the most important things for us all - some of my own happiest and most memorable moments have come from them. I want to help bring that same deep sense of care and community to us all.
This year I want us to go even deeper, with cross-year EIE and EEE socials as well as cross department socials with MechEng, ChemEng etc. working directly with CGCU, bringing more genuine connection and participation into the Faculty of Engineering as a whole, to see a community of engineers we’d never get to meet otherwise!
1. Events: I want to make a regular focus on running events that build community, promote wellbeing and goes beyond purely isolated year group events to cross year working with CGCU.
2. Academic and Wellbeing Balance Sessions: I know this year is intense! When EIE does get really intense, I want to hold spaces for us to create a free dialogue where students can share experiences, advice and just support each other.
3. Communication: I would ensure the department values our ideas, having been your rep for a year on the student-staff committee, I’ve had experience in navigating and getting ideas to actually make a real difference.
I really hope to have your vote to create a community of engineers that we all feel proud to belong to!
