Prithi Anbezhil
Mechanical Engineering (UG): Year Two Wellbeing Representative
University is great, but sometimes Mech Eng makes it hard for us to enjoy it. With lectures every day (with 9-6 on Thursdays and Fridays), constant DMF deadlines, and lab reports that never end. So I’ve decided that, if I make Well-being Rep, I want to try and make our days just a little bit more eventful (hopefully in a good way!)
My priorities would be:
- Being your personal cheerleader: You can come to me if you have any concerns about the course or your life in general – I can try my best to lift your spirits and be there for you 😐
- Mech-Eng socials: Given I’m allowed, I’ll organise informal socials and fun events (with free food) to bring a sense of community to our cohort to create one big happy family!
- Making everyday fun: I’ll definitely organise free events with prizes every few weeks to give you the motivation to come in (not that you need another reason other than our awesome lecturers)
- Promoting mental health: I’ll put up posters about how to put your mental health first and finding balance in life. As Master Oogway said, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
With all this in mind, PLEASE VOTE FOR ME! I WILL MAKE MECH ENG GREAT AGAIN!
